Electric Vehicles and Distributed Electric Grids Research groups

The Electric Vehicle Group, which is a member of the Transport and Energy Division, focuses its research activity on the development of new technologies that allow improved energy use. The field of research covers both sustainable transport systems and distributed grids for electricity generation and storage. The Group’s activity jointly coordinates different lines of work such as the development of state-of-the-art electric machines, high power density static converters, control algorithms and storage systems.

A common feature of all the areas of investigation is the high degree of integration among available technologies and the capacity to develop projects with a high technology readiness level (TRL).
